Committing to Our City

The City of Baltimore is in a unique position during the trying and heartbreaking times our nation's Black and Brown communities are facing. Our experience and resolve with issues of Police abuse have resulted in the establishment of a viable mechanism for presenting our issues directly to the federal court, who is currently overseeing the implementation of a consent decree mandating our Police Department complies.

What we are missing is stable and committed leadership to work in our best interest by ensuring that the necessary progression to actually realize those changes happen, systemically, structurally and legislatively. As we reach the finality of a primary campaign season which clearly identifies the divided ideals of the current and proposed electorate. What we all must agree on is that the racism that this country is built upon and the continued oppression of our people has to end. We are calling for all current and presumptive elected representatives to COMMIT to prioritizing Racial Equity in the treatment of our people, and diligently pursuing and advocating for the necessary legislative and structural changes needed to move our City forward.

Sign on to the requirements in the commitment to Baltimore, and join us as we hold the incoming representation accountable to the concerns of their constituents.
